      well being

I've always believed that relationships are the most important part of well-being.  In my own life and in the lives of others, I see again and again how connections can save or starve a person's spirit.  Nurturing a family, forming close friendships, finding a life-partner - these are all part of building well-being.  A healthy life-style is also critical.  Most important of all is learning to understand with honesty where you are in life, learning to listen to your questions, asking the ones that count, and practicing the art of making good choices.  If you can do that, everything else seems to fall into place.

The greatest joys and the best teachers I have ever known are my family. Each and every member!  If I had a handful of wishes, one would be that each person would know just how much love is in my heart for them.  I am a person of words, yet sometimes words are not enough.

After adopting a newborn, our family became the great-8 when life took us in the direction of Bogota, Colombia where we added a family of five siblings to our little threesome.  I learned a tiny bit of Spanish and over time the children, ages 2, 3, 6, 8, and 10 learned English, and the 'original,' age 4 when his brothers and sisters arrived, learned to speak Spanish.  To say that life was a roller coaster lightly describes the ups and downs.  The ride was exciting, overwhelming, delightful, challenging, wild and wonderful.

With my handful of wishes (mentioned just above) I would also aspire for universal peace.  Corny - I think not! It is my belief that the one thread that binds us all together is love.  If I could, I would provide every person on the planet with the ability to understand and experience this very special kind of love and the gift of living it.

teaching

Though my career has been as diverse as my interests, it has always involved teaching others.  As a fitness specialist and site Director of a YMCA Corporate Fitness Facility, I taught my students to manage stress and create energy through diet, exercise and contemplation.  As both a student and teacher of Shotokan Karate, I learned to share the method of reflective, meditative, life-changing fitness - the kind that leads to absolute well-being!

Today I offer spiritual counseling.  Together we can weave magic into your life tapestry by journeying into the looking glass of your life.  Through spirtual counseling, I can help you shift that which you are thinking or transform the words that come as a result of your thoughts. This will utimately transform the actions produced by those words which together are your character, the way in which you live your life.  Why not make it your best!

Of the many words in my personal dictionary, one of my most favorite  is TAPESTRY, and here is what it means to me:  Life is meant to be a masterpiece.  Each of us is the artist who creates said work of genius.  We all have the ability to choose the threads, the pattern and the loom upon which to weave.  Sometimes our threads are tangled and knotty, other times, we are able to move the shuttle with ease.  As you come to understand the power you possess in the art of making choices, you are well on your way to weaving the many threads of your life into a joy-filled, delightful work of fine art, a Tapestry.  How do you come to this profound understanding?  By learning to QAC of course!
